Sailing ships, stars, angels and executioners The Mark of Cain chronicles the vanishing practice and language of Russian Criminal Tattoos. Although the primary goal of the documentary is to examine prison tattooing in Russia, it gives Alix Lambert the opportunity to discuss the conditions in the prisons. It is a rather intense and informative documentary in a world where thieves are harshly punished and often receive longer sentences than than murderers.  In a nut shell, do not go to Russian prison.  Found the full movie online and can be viewed below.
