More often than not, our favorite pictures of graffiti tend to have very little graffiti in them.  Which is perhaps why Phil America‘s photographs really resonate with us.  No tilt-shift lenses/30 color burners/photoshop wizardry; just a guy and his camera, in the trenches, trying to capture on film that elusive feeling of being there.
